Cowgirl meets metropolitan city girl in these sophisticated Paige Tall Riding boots by Frye! Distressed, polished leather uppers in a casual riding boot-inspired knee-high styling with a rounded toe. Scalloped seamed leather overlays and dual pull tabs accent the 16 inch shaft. Approximately 15″ calf circumference that dips to a Western-style scallop at the back. The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800′s many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Glorious riding boots!
I just purchased these boots in the saddle color. They are fantastic! They are a beautiful camel color – the picture is pretty accurate as far as color goes. They are comfy and look great over skinny jeans. I’ve gotten tons of compliments. I think they run a little big and there is quite a bit of room in the calf, but I think that looks good with jeans. They are expensive, but Frye boots are the best and this is such a classic style!
