GOOD GRIEF! I AM “TRENDY.”
I am one of the last people on earth that you would point out as being “trendy.” Alas, as I shuffled into the local coffee shop the other day a lady, whom I have known for some time, commented on my “trendy” sneakers. I was crushed. These particular sneakers, Converse All Stars, and I go way, way back. When I first started wearing them you could buy a pair for around three or four dollars. I got one new pair a year. They were neat because if my foot grew too much in a given year, it was quite easy to make a slit in the two with my pocket
